Volleyball Recap: Marina Takes a Loss

Marina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Huntington Beach Oilers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-11.

Marina now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Huntington Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Marina will challenge Corona del Mar at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Corona del Mar will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marina surely won't give up without a fight. As for Huntington Beach, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Redondo Union on the 22nd.
