Soccer Recap: Clifton Central Takes a Loss

Clifton Central managed to slip by St. Anne the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets lost 6-1 to the Cardinals on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Clifton Central were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Ashton Reiniche, who's now up to 16 this season.

Clifton Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for St. Anne, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Clifton Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Momence on the 2nd. As for St. Anne, they have also already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Illinois Lutheran on the 2nd.
