Baseball Recap: Nimitz Takes a Loss

Nimitz extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 6-17. They came up short against the Spring Lions, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Tuesday.

Juan Arana was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run. Andreus Ross was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Spring, the victory got them back to even at 14-14. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

On Spring's side, the team relied heavily on Moises Arb, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Arb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Wilkerson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Nimitz will host Dekaney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring, they will head out to square off against Klein at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
