Volleyball Recap: Ann Sobrato Gets the Win

Ann Sobrato posted their closest victory since March 20th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Oak Grove Eagles 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Ann Sobrato had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 22-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Oak Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Chhuon had 19 digs and two assists.

Ann Sobrato's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Oak Grove, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-18.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ann Sobrato will square off against rival Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oak Grove is set to face off against their familiar foe Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
