Volleyball Game Preview: West Aurora Blackhawks vs. Marmion Cadets

The West Aurora Blackhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Marmion Cadets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, West Aurora didn't have quite enough to beat South Elgin and fell 2-1. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Aurora actually scored more points across those three sets (72-69), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 17-25, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Marmion didn't have quite enough to beat St. Charles East on Monday and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Marmion sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 17-25, 25-18.

Marmion dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for West Aurora, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
