Baseball Recap: St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders vs. Concordia Academy Beacons
If St. Croix Lutheran was riding high fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Nova Classical Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell 9-6 to the Concordia Academy Beacons on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beacons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 on April 9th.
Noah Little put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Evan Kasa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Isaac Garcia was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.
