Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph and Lutheran South Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but St. Joseph had to settle for second. They lost 16-0 to the Pioneers. The shutout was out of character for the Flyers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

St. Joseph dropped their record down to 28-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lutheran South Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 24 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-3-1 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Joseph nor Lutheran South Academy have any future games scheduled.
