Soccer Recap: Providence vs. Louisville Collegiate

After flying high against North Harrison last Wednesday, Providence came back down to earth. The Providence Pioneers came up short against the Louisville Collegiate Amazons & Titans on Saturday, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Pioneers were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Grant Kitch, which was the first he's scored this season.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-3. As for Louisville Collegiate, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Providence's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Albany at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Louisville Collegiate, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DuPont Manual at 7:45 p.m. on September 26th. Louisville Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.3 goals per game this season.
