Volleyball Recap: Savannah Bauer and Meghan Maxwell Secure Win for Carroll

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Archbishop McNicholas, Carroll was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stebbins Indians. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-17.

Carroll was led to victory by Meghan Maxwell and Savannah Bauer. Maxwell had five digs and three aces, while Bauer had four digs and two aces. What's more, Bauer posted two assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups. Maddie Thompson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Carroll was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They are 8-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Carroll back to even at 9-9. As for Stebbins, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Franklin on the 2nd. As for Stebbins, after both having extra time off, they and Butler will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
