Baseball Recap: Carteret Comes Up Short

Carteret made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Metuchen, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Ramblers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Ramblers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Miles Ferreiras was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Carteret now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Metuchen, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Metuchen has already played their next game, an 18-1 win against Rahway on the 1st. Hopefully Carteret paid attention to the Bulldogs' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
