Crooksville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Fort Frye Cadets.

Elyse Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brynn Lundell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Paige Frame, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Crooksville's record now sits at 13-3. As for Fort Frye, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Coming up, Crooksville will head out to square off against River View at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Frye, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belpre at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
