Softball Recap: Oceanside Comes Up Short

Oceanside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Lincoln Academy Eagles. If the Mariners were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kloey Deabler made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Payson Stackpole also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Oceanside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Lincoln Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.

While Oceanside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
