Baseball Recap: Carlmont Comes Up Short

Carlmont fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Santa Clara on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 5-4. The Scots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Carlmont saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Luzzo, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Carlmont has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Santa Clara, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

As of now, neither Carlmont nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
