Soccer Game Preview: Greenbrier vs. Portland

For the first time this season, Greenbrier will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Portland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greenbrier came up short against Merrol Hyde Magnet on Wednesday, falling 6-2. Greenbrier have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arjenn Cortez and Krystian Lopez-Miguel scored both of Greenbrier's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Portland was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. Neither they nor Pope John Paul II could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Greenbrier's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. With that draw, Portland's record moves to 7-1-2.
