Recap: Oakmont Vikings vs. Vista del Lago Eagles
The Oakmont Vikings pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-59 to Vista del Lago.
Vista del Lago's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Pettus, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Nathan Kramer was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Oakmont's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Vista del Lago, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakmont will take on West Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 302 points over their last four matches. As for Vista del Lago, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Christian Brothers at 7:30 p.m. Christian Brothers presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vista del Lago in California (Christian Brothers is ranked 202nd, while Vista del Lago is ranked 526th).
