Menard had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Leakey Eagles an 11-0 shutout. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Menard's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Leakey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Coincidentally, Menard and Leakey will both be playing Medina the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Bobcats at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
