Volleyball Recap: Clear Falls Comes Up Short

Clear Falls's tournament run continued when they took on Fort Bend Elkins on Thursday. Clear Falls took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Bend Elkins. Clear Falls has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clear Falls was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16.

London Woods paced Clear Falls' offense, picking up six kills. Woods got some help from Riley Martinsen and her ten assists. Sophia Green controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Clear Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clear Falls will host Friendswood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hitchcock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
