Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. Centennial Huskies        
        
		
            
 Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They fell  7-4 to the Centennial Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Roosevelt of the  2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Monday.
  Carson Moss was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Roosevelt saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Diego Montes, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Centennial's side,  Espn Simpson tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Matthew Bernath was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Edgar Gonzalez, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Centennial, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record  this season.
 While Roosevelt had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
