Baseball Recap: Plano Comes Up Short

Plano lost against Woodstock North on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Reapers lost 13-5 to the Thunder. The Reapers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brandon Ramos made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Jake Dixon also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Plano's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Woodstock North, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.

Plano and Woodstock North could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Reapers will take on Marengo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (470 vs. 36). Meanwhile, Woodstock North (ranked 336th) will meet Johnsburg (ranked 100th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
