Soccer Recap: Gadsden City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crossville last Tuesday, Gadsden City came back down to earth. The Titans came up short against the Homewood Patriots on Thursday, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for Gadsden City seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Gadsden City now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Homewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Looking ahead, Gadsden City will challenge Moody at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Homewood, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against John Carroll Catholic on the 4th.
