Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln Park Academy vs. Centennial

The Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds will take on the Centennial Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln Park Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lincoln Park Academy fell victim to Treasure Coast and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Centennial was forced to settle for a draw. They and Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Centennial's goal came courtesy of Myles Fanelli, who's now up to six this season.

Lincoln Park Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. Centennial's draw gives them a new season record of 7-2-1.

Lincoln Park Academy might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Centennial in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lincoln Park Academy was down 3-0.
