Soccer Game Preview: Stone vs. Vancleave

The Stone Tomcats are taking a road trip to take on the Vancleave Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Stone's offense. They came up short against Pearl River Central on Friday, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Vancleave didn't have quite enough to beat Hancock on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vancleave's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Stone, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Stone beat Vancleave 2-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stone since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
