Football Recap: Melrose Starts off Right with Win over Peabody Veterans Memorial

Melrose took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners a 21-0 shutout. This was payback for the Red Raiders, who suffered a 34-13 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Melrose will head out to take on Reading Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they will venture away from home to square off against Winchester at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
