Basketball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

Canton lost against Plymouth back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between the Canton Cobras and the Plymouth Wildcats didn't end well, with the Canton Cobras falling 48-33. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Wildcats are ranked 86th).

Leading Plymouth to victory were Mackenzie Dicken and Annie Flavin. Dicken went 6 of 15 on her way to 16 points and six assists, while Flavin posted 15 points. Evelyn Stiglish was another key player, putting up nine points.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Plymouth, their record now sits at 12-5.

Canton will challenge Novi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canton is facing Novi at the right time seeing as Novi is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Plymouth, they will square off against Hartland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
