Softball Recap: Montrose Takes a Loss

After flying high against Carbondale Area two weeks ago, Montrose came back down to earth. The Meteors lost 18-3 to the Elk Lake Warriors on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat back in April.

Montrose saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MycKenna Kublo, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Montrose's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Elk Lake, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Montrose does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elk Lake, they will take on Holy Redeemer at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.9, the Royals 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
