Soccer Game Preview: Sequim vs. North Kitsap

The Sequim Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the North Kitsap Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Sequim took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Olympic with a sharp 4-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Sequim needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, North Kitsap had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Given North Kitsap's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while North Mason are ranked 206th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Kitsap's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Sequim, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Sequim suffered a grim 7-2 defeat to North Kitsap in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
