Cardinal Spellman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 10-5 to the Mary Louis Academy Hilltoppers. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked the Pilots' highest-scoring game to date.

Victoria Sanchez and Mia Paulino stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sanchez scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Paulino scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That run was Sanchez's first of the season.

Cardinal Spellman's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mary Louis Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
