Oviedo extended their postseason success on Saturday against St. Thomas Aquinas. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raiders 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

Oviedo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 13-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-17, 15-12.

Oviedo was led to victory by Anderson Hitt and Eva Woolm. Hitt had 14 digs and one assist, while Woolm had 21 kills and 17 digs. That's the most kills Woolm has posted since back in October.

When it comes to explaining why St. Thomas Aquinas lost, don't look at Adriana Medrano. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs and three assists. Isabella Sangha also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Oviedo's victory bumped their record up to 25-6. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, with the loss, they broke their 16-match winning streak and moved their record to 27-5.

As of now, neither Oviedo nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
