Football Game Preview: Syosset vs. Oceanside Sailors

Syosset hasn't had much luck against Oceanside recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Syosset will be playing at home against Oceanside. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Syosset's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Uniondale. Syosset has beaten Uniondale the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Uniondale has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Oceanside after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Massapequa who ended up claiming the real prize. The Sailors fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 36-33. While the Sailors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Chiefs 7-0 in the first quarter.

Syosset now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Oceanside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Syosset ended up a good deal behind Oceanside in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, losing 51-34. Can Syosset avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
