Baseball Recap: Eagle River Wolves vs. South Anchorage Wolverines
Eagle River faced South Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolves came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 9-4. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Liam Lierman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
