Football Recap: Big Day for Athens Christian's Secondary + How To Watch

If Athens Christian was riding high fresh off their 29-0 takedown of The King's Academy two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles received a blow on Friday as they fell 28-12 to the Lakeview Academy Lions. The Eagles have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Athens Christian's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Tray Bowleg and Cohen Dove, who each picked up one interception apiece.

Lakeview Academy had a senior duo take command as Kyari Burch threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes and Nesean Dorsey picked up 95 receiving yards and one TD. Dorsey showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 58 yards.
