Basketball Recap: Choctaw Central Beats Leake Central for Their 11th Straight Victory

Choctaw Central had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They strolled past the Leake Central Gators with points to spare, taking the game 76-59. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Gators are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Choctaw Central pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Leake Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.
