Recap: Perrin-Whitt Pirates vs. Avalon Eagles
The Perrin-Whitt Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Avalon on Friday as Perrin-Whitt made off with a 40-14 win. 40 seems to be a good number for Perrin-Whitt as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Avalon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brooklyn De La Garza, who scored seven points.
Perrin-Whitt now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Avalon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
Perrin-Whitt won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Aquilla at 8:00 a.m. on December 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Aquilla is ranked 952nd, while Perrin-Whitt is ranked 953rd). Avalon is on the road again on Friday and play against Nazarene Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Nazarene Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Thursday.
