Baseball Recap: Chariho Chargers vs. Burrillville Broncos
Chariho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Burrillville Broncos by a score of 6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Chariho of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Saturday.
For Burrillville's part, Cam Laramee made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Laramee was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Cam Potter was excellent, going 3-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
Chariho's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Burrillville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-10-1.
