Volleyball Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss

Orestimba came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Big Valley Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in February.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Big Valley Christian scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-22.

Orestimba's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Big Valley Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Orestimba wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Ripon Christian on the 2nd. As for Big Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Hilmar on the 2nd.
