Franklin County Tech and Westfield Technical Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin County Tech barely beat Turners Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Indians 14-4 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Hunter Donahue was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Franklin County Tech is undefeated when Donahue posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brody Hicks, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Westfield Technical Academy beat St. Mary 6-1 on Monday.
Josh Elmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over seven innings pitched. Elmer was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Galczynski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Witczak, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
Franklin County Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Westfield Technical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Franklin County Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Westfield Technical Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
