Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for North Central

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but North Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Hudson Tigers 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Easton Fidler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fidler was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

Fidler wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Briggs Fiser, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

North Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Hudson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will take on Hilltop at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hudson, they will challenge Blissfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
