Volleyball Recap: Coahoma County Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coahoma County can now relate to. They came up short against the Kossuth Aggies on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Red Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Coahoma County was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Kossuth's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-1, 25-5, 25-10.

Brenyn Wilbanks had a dynamite game For Kossuth., getting 30 assists and nine aces. Wilbanks is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 20 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carlie Shaw, who had five aces.

Coahoma County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Kossuth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4-2 record this season.

Coahoma County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kossuth, they will challenge Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
