Assumption is a perfect 10-0 against Davenport Central since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Assumption and three for Davenport Central.

Meanwhile, Davenport Central lost 3-0 to Bettendorf on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, 25-6.

Davenport Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Assumption, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.

Assumption took their win against Davenport Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
