Volleyball Recap: Cedar Bluffs Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Cedar Bluffs hadn't done well against Weeping Water recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Indians. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win two weeks ago.

Cedar Bluffs didn't let Weeping Water take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Jakiah McCoy paced Cedar Bluffs' offense, picking up six kills. McCoy got some help from Taylor Hansen and her 11 assists. McCoy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jaydyn Bittinger, each putting up two.

Cedar Bluffs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Mead on the 9th. As for Weeping Water, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Johnson County Central on the 13th.
