Baseball Recap: Bishop Dunne Takes a Loss

Bishop Dunne had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-20-1 to make it seven. They came up short against the Regents Knights, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly ten runs.

Bishop Dunne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dilan Paris, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

As for Regents, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

On Regents' side, the team relied heavily on Blake Mott, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Mott is becoming a predictor of the Knights' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Cash Nelson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Bishop Dunne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Regents, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Andrew's at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
