Football Recap: Westwood Christian Comes Up Short

Westwood Christian fell victim to Southridge and their airtight defense on Monday. They had to suffer through a 57-0 loss at the hands of the Southridge Spartans. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Mary Quinones, who threw for 152 yards and four touchdowns while completing 92.3% of her passes. What's more, she racked up 135.3 passer rating, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

Westwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southridge, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Westwood Christian will welcome Sunset at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hialeah Gardens at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southridge has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 122 points over their last three matchups.
