Softball Recap: Waverly Wins Going Away Against Jackson

Waverly got themselves on the board against Jackson on Friday, but Jackson never followed suit. They blew past the Vikings 16-0. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sydney Sutton, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Thalia Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Waverly's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waverly will head out to take on Ludington at 11:00 a.m. on the 12th. As for Jackson, they will square off against Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
