Softball Recap: Patriot Warriors vs. Ramona Rams

Patriot was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramona Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Patriot of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.

For Ramona's part, Victoria Recendez was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Recendez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Recendez was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
