Softball Recap: Castor Takes a Loss

If Castor was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Lakeview last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 9-3 to the Lakeside Warriors on Monday. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Malorie Cooper was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Castor's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lakeside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season.

Castor will challenge Converse at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
