Football Recap: Malibu Victorious

If East Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Malibu, they should've done a better job of containing Tanner Kies. The Sharks came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 26-13 on Friday thanks in part to Kies, who rushed for 154 yards and a pair of scores. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made nine total tackles.

The win got Malibu back to even at 2-2. As for East Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Malibu will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hillcrest Christian at 6:30 p.m. on October 3. As for East Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 58-22 victory against New Designs University Park on the 25th.
