Volleyball Recap: Northern Virginia Homeschool Extends Road Winning Streak to 11

Northern Virginia HomeSchool posted their closest victory since September 16th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Covenant Christian Academy Golden Eagles 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool wouldn't go down easily and took Covenant Christian Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 15-11.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Fisher, who had nine digs. Those nine digs gave Fisher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie Drown, who had eight digs and three aces.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in nine consecutive matches.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Covenant Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Coming up, Northern Virginia HomeSchool will host Front Royal HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Oakcrest at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
