Basketball Recap: McIntosh Takes a Loss

McIntosh played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 72-18 loss at the hands of the Morrow Mustangs. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-11.

Leading Morrow to victory were J'Bionna Robinson and Kalecia Holiday. Robinson went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points along with seven steals and five assists, while Holiday went 8 for 16 on her way to 21 points and three steals. Those five assists gave Robinson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Poetrie Dace, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

McIntosh's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Morrow, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

McIntosh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-42 loss against Newnan on the 10th. As for Morrow, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-23 victory against Dutchtown on the 10th.
