Volleyball Game Preview: Dr. Phillips Panthers vs. Lake Buena Vista Vipers

The Dr. Phillips Panthers will face off against the Lake Buena Vista Vipers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Dr. Phillips got the win against Olympia by a conclusive 3-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Dr. Phillips' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-15.

Dr. Phillips can attribute much of their success to Evan Cervantes, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Lake Buena Vista had just enough and edged out Winter Springs 2-1 on March 8th.

Lake Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Dr. Phillips, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Dr. Phillips was able to grind out a solid victory over Lake Buena Vista in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Dr. Phillips repeat their success, or does Lake Buena Vista has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
