Softball Recap: Leading Edge Academy - GEC Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Leading Edge Academy - GEC finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 19-2 to the Miami Vandals. The Spartans have struggled against the Vandals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Corynn Foster made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 13 times she's played.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Miami, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Leading Edge Academy - GEC will take on San Carlos at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Miami, they will welcome Alchesay at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.8 runs per game on average), something the Vandals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
